Setting up your E-Scooter
Congratulations on your new e-scooter purchase. It’s almost ready to ride – just follow the easy instructions below, charge up your battery and you’ll be ready to go!
Note: Vehicle not to be used on public highways (roads/pavements), the vehicle must be used on private property with owner’s consent, appropriate protective equipment to be worn at all times, children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Holding the baseplate of the e-scooter firmly, carefully lift it out of the box – DO NOT lift by the stem at this point. (Keep the box and internal packaging inside the box for safe keeping*.) Put on the ground, engaging the kickstand so that it can stand on its own.
* We strongly recommend that you keep the box for the length of your warranty, in case that you need to return the e-scooter.
Remove any remaining protective packaging from the e-scooter, then unfold it to its upright position.
Locate the stem bolts (usually kept in a sealed package) and insert them into the stem bolt recesses loosely with your fingers. If you are unsure of where the stem bolts should be located on your e-scooter, consult your manufacturer handbook.
Once the bolts are loosely in place, you can use the supplied correctly-fitting Allen key to tighten them up. Make sure that you tighten the bolts gradually in an alternating pattern, until you can’t tighten any more using a two-fingered grip on the Allen key.
Make sure that you fully charge your e-scooter for a full eight hours before riding it (or until the charger indicator changes colour). This will help to prolong the long-term life of the battery. We recommend that you take this opportunity to read through your manufacturer handbook.
Once charged, familiarise yourself with any warning stickers and usage advice printed on your e-scooter before setting off.
